Educational Programs

The Dragonfly Art for Life partners with schools to provide engaging TK–12 art education programs, especially for schools without dedicated art teachers. We offer 30–45 minute classes in drawing, directed drawing, watercolor, pastels, cartooning, clay, and more, designed to inspire creativity while supporting social-emotional learning, literacy, math, observation skills, and critical thinking.

Programs are available both on campus and as interactive field trips at our studio, giving students meaningful hands-on art experiences in a fun and encouraging environment.

At Dragonfly Art for Life Studio, we believe art should be accessible, encouraging, and enjoyable for everyone. We offer engaging art classes for individuals with special needs either at their facility or in our welcoming studio environment. Classes may include watercolor painting, ceramic painting, drawing, sketching, and a variety of hands-on crafts tailored to participants’ abilities and interests. Our programs are designed to foster creativity, build confidence and self-expression, encourage social connection and community interaction, and most importantly, create a fun and supportive experience for every artist.

We believe in “enoughness” — creating a positive experience without overwhelming participants, while allowing space for breaks, transitions, and individual needs. To ensure the best experience for everyone, an evaluation or consultation is required prior to participation, and a parent, guardian, or support person must remain with the participant during sessions. While we strive to be inclusive, we respectfully reserve the right to refuse services if we feel our studio is not equipped to safely support an individual’s specific needs.

 Dragonfly Art for Life proudly partners with Girl Scouts and troop leaders to provide creative, hands-on experiences that help scouts complete a variety of badges, including our popular Comic Book Drawing Badge and many more. We offer flexible scheduling and can host groups in our studio or travel offsite for special events, field trips, and customized projects. We have partnered with organizations and venues including zoos, llama and alpaca farms, museums, and aquariums to create memorable learning experiences through art and creativity. Pricing begins at $25 per scout for in-studio programs, with offsite event pricing varying based on location and project needs. Let’s work together to create a fun, engaging, and unforgettable experience for your troop!
